The prehistoric monument that you can see on the left is "Dun Aengus". It was built a very long time ago, before the pyramids in Egypt! It is one of the oldest prehistoric monuments in Europe.
Why did prehistoric people build a vast monument on this small island in the Atlantic? Nobody knows. Do you think it may be a house? Do you think it must be a palace? Do you think it can be a big shop?
Ireland has many famous prehistoric monuments. New Grange (on the left) was built ages ago. Scientists rebuilt it but New Grange use is not known for sure. Do you think it may be a church? Or a large hall for meeting?
