Black
people came to Europe to fight in WWI. When the war stopped, they played their
music in Paris (it was the first time Parisians saw Black people play music!!)
This
period just after WWI was the "jazz age": Europe discovered a completetly
new style of music: Black music. Everybody wanted to have fun after the war.
Jazz music and Black musicians were good!
