In autumn and winter, life was difficult for people who were on a foreign land. A lot of "pilgrims" died in the first year.

 

The first winter, local people (the "indians") helped their White brothers: they gave food or fish.

 

The village (the first permanent white settlement in northern America) is today very popular with American tourists: the beginning of America's history is here!!
